Practical details
You can use your own suitable hardware or have hardware supplied via AITJE. We tailor the capacity to your usage. The local core operates without an internet connection, provided the device and the necessary local connections are available.
Online features, downloads and external services require an internet connection.
What do we mean by ‘own management’?
Self-management means that you retain access to and control over the knowledge, functionality, data and infrastructure on which you rely. This can be achieved in various ways. Self-management is the goal, not a single technique. AITJE is not opposed to the cloud or external models: the task determines the solution.

The task determines the model.
Open source as a foundation.
Freedom to customise and manage it yourself. An external model remains a viable option.
Why open source?
Open-source technology is often better managed in-house, scalable without per-user costs and adaptable to your work. This is a strong preference, not a dogma: a closed or external model is acceptable if it demonstrably delivers greater value for a particular task.
Keep it brief where possible.
Code handles the routine tasks. AI is provided with the correct information for a single, specific task.
How does it work?
Not every task requires the most expensive AI model. A well-designed workflow breaks a task down into steps, utilises in-house knowledge and enables a smaller model to operate reliably. Locally, each additional attempt does not incur external tokens; however, hardware, electricity and management costs remain.
